Jewish Silicon Valley
The Jewish community of Silicon Valley has embarked on an ambitious campaign to secure the future of our Silicon Valley Jewish community. Endowments and bequest donations are truly the gifts that sustain and build a community. The Legacy Society embodies the Jewish Silicon Valley's commitment to cherish the legacy that members create in ensuring a strong Jewish future for our entire Jewish community in Silicon Valley.
The Legacy Society will be comprised of individuals who want to secure a legacy of an strong Jewish future by making a written commitment to Jewish Silicon Valley that will impact future generations.
It is surprisingly easy to arrange a Legacy Gift. Though more sophisticated gifts will require more care, many methods are quite straightforward. It is as easy as making a bequest in your will or codicil, purchasing a life insurance policy where JSV is the beneficiary or giving an outright gift of cash or securities which funds the endowment immediately. Whatever the method, you ca plan your gift to maximize your Legacy to the Jewish agencies you care most about.
Current examples in our community which exist are:
- $3.3 million Endowments
- $1 million Donor Advised Funds
- 57 Book of Life signers
- 3 Individuals who haven designated JSV as a beneficiary in their Life Insurance policies
- 4 fully funded Lion of Judah* Endowments
*Lion of Judah endowments are gifts from women who want to perpetuate their Lion of Judah gift beyond their lifetime. A Lion of Judah is an annual campaign gift of $5,000 or more and an endowment for that gifts can be started with a minimum gift of $100,000.
