Workshop Description:
It was probably difficult to land that job interview, and you don't want to screw it up! If you can’t interview effectively, your knowledge and work experience will go unnoticed. A less qualified candidate may get the job because of better interviewing skills. In this seminar, Career expert Mauri Schwartz will provide the most pertinent, insightful and immediately helpful advice. You will learn her special recipe for a successful interview, reframing the way you should approach the interview and providing guidance on how to prepare in order to “ace the interview.”

Workshop Presenter:
Mauri Schwartz founded Career Insiders, a career consultancy, to help companies attain mission critical talent, heighten executive visibility, and for individuals to achieve their career goals. She has had outstanding success providing executives with personal branding materials and coaching through personalized attention, ensuring that each client’s accomplishments are translated into an image that is uniquely theirs. She drives creative executive talent acquisition strategies, conducting full-cycle recruitment of top talent – higher quality, more quickly, and less costly. With keen interest in knowing what makes people tick and how businesses work, Mauri dives into learning everything she can, treats every client as if they were her only client, and it shows in the branding success that her clients achieve.
With a BS in Math from Tulane University, Mauri started out in technology at IBM developing software for the Navy’s latest and most innovative class of submarines. Adding business acumen to her technical know-how, she received an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Prior to Career Insiders, she recruited technology professionals across levels, functions, and industries. An Alabama native with a Louisiana background, Mauri has worked and lived in San Francisco for many years, very close to where her favorite SF Giants call home. In addition to her role on the organizing committee for the JHTC Mentorship Program, she has been appointed or elected to roles on numerous community boards and commissions, including Vice President, Haas Business School Alumni Board-SF; Vice President, San Francisco Board of Appeals; Member, Women's Leadership Conference Advisory Council, NCHRA; Treasurer, San Francisco Democratic Party.
