Hillel of Silicon Valley will be holding our Annual L’Dor V’Dor (From Generation to Generation) community event and fundraiser to be held on Sunday, February 21 at 5 PM. We are attaching an invitation to the event and sending this announcement beyond the South Bay because the pandemic and the fact this year’s event will be held virtually gives us an opportunity to offer the event without cost to participants. We feel that it may be of interest to your members and constituents. We hope that you will include this invitation in your newsletters and communications.

The event will take place at a time when harassment and attacks on Jewish students on college campuses is at an all-time high. While there have been no incidents this year on the campuses that we serve, Hillel of Silicon Valley, like many other advocates for Jewish students around the country, are reaching out to university administrators to forcefully condemn anti-Semitism and work more aggressively to address and prevent it. One of the most exciting aspects of this year’s event will be the featuring of keynote speaker Bari Weiss. As you are probably aware, Bari is a journalist and the author of "How to Fight Anti-Semitism," which won a 2019 National Jewish Book Award and a Natan Notable Book Award. From 2017 to 2020, Bari was an opinion writer and editor at The New York Times. Before that, she was an op-ed and book review editor at The Wall Street Journal and a senior editor at Tablet Magazine.

Hillel of Silicon Valley is a non-profit organization serving the South Bay college students on five college campuses: San Jose State University, Santa Clara University, De Anza College, Foothill College, and West Valley College.  Hillel of Silicon Valley works with student leadership to create inspiring and enriching social and educational programming. Hillel of Silicon Valley has served thousands of students over the years and helps to connect them to the community.

Registration is required for attendance and the link to register- https://secure.hillelsv.org/ldorvdorPaymentsPage.php —can also be found on the invitation.
