Repentance vs. Cancel Culture: Do We Allow Others to Do Teshuvah? (Zoom)

With Rabbi Berkowitz
Cancel culture, now the rage, is a form of boycott  in which someone is  "canceled" and bullied because of a wrong they committed. With social media, the impacts are often permanent. We'll study the process and parameters of teshuvah in Jewish Law and discuss these questions: Should any transgression be irredeemable? Do we draw permanent lines that disallow others to repent? What price do we pay when we permanently disallow another's teshuvah?

In order to hopefully prevent any disruption or harassment on Zoom, every individual that wants to log in on their own device for our High Holy Days services and learning sessions MUST register at www.beth-david.org/hhd-5781  Each registrant will receive a personal, unique link, to access our High Holy Days services and learning session. You only need to register once. Be sure to save your personal log in information. See all High Holy Days information
