Caring Shabbat with the Band at CSH
Supporting Our Aging Parents and Finding the Support We Need will be the theme of this year's Caring Shabbat. Our guest speak
er will be Sue Alvey, a professional clinical counselor with a specialty in working with older adults and their families.
Sue Alvey is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who has a psychotherapy practice in Palo Alto specializing in work with older adults and family caregivers. She is also a Social Worker at Rosener House Adult Day Services in Menlo Park . Sue has over thirty years’ experience working with older adults and their families in Northern Santa Clara County. She has worked at organizations such as the Vi at Palo Alto and the Avenidas Rose Kleiner Adult Day Health Center in Mountain View. Sue holds two master’s degrees in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida, is a National Certified Counselor and a National Certified Gerontological Counselor. She has been an active volunteer in the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s for over 15 years. Sue loves spending time with her family, cooking, traveling and spending time at the beach.
Following the abbreviated Shabbat service we will have a special oneg with table conversations by theme.
